STICKER BASICS (reverse sticker technique)

There is a process by which you can use the inner, "waste" pieces of a sticker.

If, after removing an outline sticker, the leftover pieces make a good looking design, use our "reverse sticker technique" to transfer (at one time) those pieces to your card.

Cut around the "waste" pieces, leaving as much of the backing around it as possible. Note the extra white space to the side of the butterfly pieces at left.

Using one of our Sticker Transfer Sheets (0000s), cut a piece large enough to cover the "waste" pieces, with a little extra to extend beyond the side that has the extra white space.

Using the end of a knife handle, rub the pieces from the front, turn over and rub from the back. Place the assembly such that the backing is facing up.

Remove the backing by holding the Transfer Tape down and pulling the backing sideways at a sharp angle as depicted.

Place the sticker pieces on your card and rub again with the knife handle.

Remove the Transfer Sheet, sideways, at a sharp angle.

If any of the previous steps do not work as illustrated, experiment with more or less rubbing. The adhesive on the Sticker Transfer sheets can vary. If the pieces do not transfer to the tape from the backing, rub the backing more. If the pieces do not want to transfer from the Transfer Tape to the card, rub the backing less. Practice makes perfect.
