When removing stickers from the backing, use a craft knife.
We recommend using the same #16 blade used for cutting with our metal templates,
as the size and angle of the blade works well.
Hold the knife as illustrated, with the thumb and middle finger, as close to the blade as possible. The blade should be parallel to the table, and your index finger is up in the air. With the sticker page lying flat on the table, slip the tip of the blade under the outline of the sticker. As soon as the blade is under a small portion of the outline, lift up slightly, slide the knife a little further under the sticker, then pinch with the index finger, and lift the sticker off the backing page. You do this so as to not remove any of the inner, "waste" pieces. We may be able to use the "waste" pieces by using our reverse sticker technique (discussed in another tutorial). The stickers look delicate, but should not tear if you do this properly. The photos at left depict these steps.
